Abstract: PURPOSE: A control circuit of an LLC(Logical Link Control) resonant converter and an LLC resonant converter using the same are provided to obtain a desired input-output DC voltage gain according to an AC input voltage which is changeable without an active power factor correction circuit. CONSTITUTION: A minimum switching frequency changing circuit changes a minimum switching frequency according to an AC input voltage of an LLC resonant converter. A first pulse signal generation portion and a second pulse signal generation portion generate a first pulse signal and a second pulse signal based on a switching frequency limited by the minimum switching frequency changing circuit. The minimum switching frequency changing circuit includes a transistor for controlling the minimum switching frequency which operates according to the AC input voltage of the LLC resonant converter. A control circuit of the LLC resonant converter changes the time constant of the minimum switching frequency changing circuit along with a switching capacitor and switching resistance according to the operation of the transistor for controlling the minimum switching frequency.
