Abstract: A battery operating system is provided to reduce voltage stress of a switch by implementing a voltage sensor, a charge equalizer, and a switch module for each battery module. Abstract: A charge equalization method and a charge equalization apparatus are provided to decrease a voltage stress applied to a first semiconductor switching element which is series-coupled to a secondary winding of a first transformer, by configuring a transformer in two stages.
