Abstract: PURPOSE: An image forming device with an integrated sensing unit is provided to allow the integrated sensing unit to sense existence and standard of a printing medium by using an optical sensor and an actuator. CONSTITUTION: An image forming device includes an integrated sensing unit(100) and a control unit. The integrated sensing unit senses existence and standard of a paper in a printing medium supply unit. The control unit determines the existence and the standard of the paper based on signals of the integrated sensing unit. The integrated sensing unit senses the existence and the standard of the paper by using an optical sensor(110) and an actuator.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus is provided to use an upper space of the image forming apparatus efficiently when not in use by forming top surfaces of a scanning unit and of a manipulation panel to have the same plane, be also used for interior decoration, and also be compact-sized by making a scanning unit and a printing unit to have at least the same one of their widths and lengths. An image forming apparatus(10) includes a first body(20) and a second body(100). The first body has a scanning unit(30) and a manipulation panel(40) which is disposed on a side of the scanning unit. Upper surfaces of the scanning unit and of the manipulation panel have the same plane. The second body is disposed under the first body and supports the first body to open the first body pivotably.
