    Abstract: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to minimize a problem that DC(Direct Current) components are accumulated in separated pixel electrodes by applying optimized voltage according to each pixel electrode, thereby improving afterimages of the LCD. A first substrate comprises a gate line(111), a data line, a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) electrically connected to the gate line and the data line, and pixel electrodes(121,122) connected to the TFT. A second substrate faces the first substrate, and includes a common electrode(220) applied with voltage. An LC layer of a VA(Vertical Alignment) mode is disposed between the first and second substrates. The common electrode corresponding to one pixel electrode includes first and second common electrodes(221,222) separated from each other. Different voltage is applied to the first and second common electrodes. A pixel electrode cut pattern(123) is formed in the pixel electrode. A common electrode cut pattern(223) is formed in the common electrode. The common electrode includes a common electrode separation pattern(224) disposed between the first and second electrodes. The pixel electrode includes a pixel electrode separation pattern(124) disposed between the first and second pixel electrodes.

    Abstract: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form one seal pattern by mixing a compound having conductive characteristics with a compound having an impurity trap function, thereby providing a conductive function for electrically connecting a common voltage supply unit with a common electrode and the impurity trap function for preventing impurities from being dispersed to LC as well as an attaching agent function. In a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) substrate(40), a TFT array and a common voltage supply unit(125) are formed. In a color filter substrate(60), a color filter array and a common electrode(140) are formed. LC(20) is formed between the TFT substrate and the color filter substrate. A seal pattern(120a) attaches the TFT substrate and the color filter substrate and supplies common voltage generated in the common voltage supply unit to the common electrode. The seal pattern traps impurities dispersed to the LC. The seal pattern is formed by mixing a compound having conductive characteristics with a compound having an impurity trap function.
