    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for treating waste water, especially from malt houses and breweries. During industrial use, this kind of waste water is contaminated with micro-organisms, salts and organic compounds. In order to make recycling possible, it is suggested that after a treatment with activated sludge (3), the waste water is subjected to a reverse osmosis (8), before being reintroduced into the cycle (11) for industrial use.
