PURPOSE: Trans-receiving method and apparatus of a data stream in a digital broadcasting system are provided to reduce the power consumption amount for transmitting and receiving the data stream. CONSTITUTION: A trans-receiving method of a data stream in a digital broadcasting system comprises the following steps: setting a first signaling information field in the large value by the frequency diversity for offering strength to the first signaling information field; and setting a second signaling information field to accept the extra capability if necessary. The second signaling information field is less strong than the first signaling information field when the size of a second field is smaller than a first field.

PURPOSE: A mapping and de-mapping method of non-binary symbols in a data communication system is provided to map a GF(Galois Field) symbols to MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) code words, thereby accomplishing improved negotiation between complexity and error function. CONSTITUTION: One or more physical layer code words include parts which are mapped from one or more non-binary Galois field symbols. One or more likelihood estimation values are calculated with respect to first non-binary Galois field symbol values. A calculation procedure includes a first number value selection step of a second non-binary Galois field symbol. First number values comprise a sub set of possible values of the second non-binary Galois field symbol.

PURPOSE: A data transceiver in a communications system is provided to enhance the quality of a broadcasting system by generating an additional parity bit string to obtain sufficient diversity gain. CONSTITUTION: An encoding unit (510) encodes information bits, which are inputted for transmission, using a given encoding technique and an encoding rate. A parity reconfiguring unit (520) produces a basic parity bit string and at least one additional parity bit string from a parity bit string which is provided by the encoding unit. The parity reconfiguring unit includes a basic parity generator (522) which produces a basic parity bit string and additional parity generator (524) which produces an addition parity bit string. A frame generating unit (530) produces frames to be transmitted based on a systematic bit string which is provided by the encoding unit, and a basic parity bit string and an additional parity bit string which are provided by the parity reconfiguring unit. PURPOSE: A method for transceiving signaling information for receiving a broadcast service in a digital broadcasting system and a device thereof are provided to efficiently receive signaling information by providing a transmission network required for an IP profile of DVB-NGH and signaling information of a transmission network physical layer. CONSTITUTION: A signaling information generator generates ULI(Upper Layer Information)(510). The signaling information gene generates NMI(Neighboring Multiplexes Information)(530). The NMI includes network information and physical layer information. An SGDD(Service Guide Delivery Descriptor) generator includes the ULI and NMI in an SGDD. PURPOSE: An additional signaling method and an apparatus thereof for digital video broadcasting are provided to increase the capacity of a preamble section for accepting signaling modes. CONSTITUTION: First and second data fields are encoded for generating first and second modulation patterns(710). A D-BPSK(Differential-Binary Phase Shift Keying) modulation is applied to the first data sequence in order to generate a first modulation sequence(720). The first data sequence is scrambled in order to generate the scrambled first modulation sequence(730). A second data sequence is generated to encode n3 bits of a third data field(740). The second data sequence is modulated through a D-BPSK modulation mode(750).
