Abstract: A refrigerator and a door opening device thereof are provided to ensure smooth feeling when opening the door, since a magnetic bonding force between a roller and a magnet is progressively reduced as a rotary angle of the door increases. A refrigerator comprises a body unit(10), a door(30), a door handle(45), an operating lever(41), a magnet(61), and a roller(44). The body unit has a storage compartment. The door is hinged to the body unit for opening and closing the storage compartment, having a gasket(31) on the back side making a tight contact with the body unit. The door handle is installed on a front side of the door. The operating lever is assembled with the door handle to be rotated by the operation of the door handle. The magnet allows a magnetic bonding force between the door and the body unit to be progressively reduced, as the door handle is getting pulled. The roller is rotatably connected to one end of the operating lever to form the magnetic bonding force with the magnet.
