PURPOSE: An auxiliary power supply and a user device including the same are provided to stably perform a sudden power off operation by supplying auxiliary power gradually. CONSTITUTION: A power supply unit(110) supplies an operation power to a user device(100). An auxiliary power unit(120) includes a plurality of power storage device and gradually supplies the auxiliary power in sudden power off. The auxiliary power unit includes first and second super capacitors(121,122), an one-way device(125), a switch, and a timer. The first and second supper capacitor is a power storage device. The one-way device, the switch, and the timer are a power control device.

PURPOSE: A semiconductor storing apparatus and a method for adjusting the performance of the semiconductor storing apparatus are provided to effectively adjust the performance of the apparatus by inserting idle time after the operating process of the apparatus according to the workloads of the apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A controller receives a writing command from a host(S210). Writing data is received from the host(S230). The received writing data is programmed in the memory cell array of a non-volatile memory(S250). When the writing data is programmed, a semiconductor storing apparatus transmits the writing operation complete signal to the host(S270). Idle time is inserted after at least one of processes according to set performance levels.

PURPOSE: A semiconductor storing apparatus and a method for adjusting the performance of the semiconductor storing apparatus are provided to adaptively adjust the performance of the apparatus according to workloads of the apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A new performance level is calculated by a controller(S121). The controller compares the calculated new performance level with a pre-determined reference. If the new performance level is lower than the minimum performance level, the controller selects the minimum performance level and applies the selected minimum performance level(S123). If the new performance level is equal to or more than the minimum performance level, the controller selects the applies the new performance level(S124).

PURPOSE: A semiconductor storing apparatus and a method for adjusting the performance of the semiconductor storing apparatus are provided to secure the life expectancy of the storing apparatus by adjusting the performance of the apparatus based on predicted workloads. CONSTITUTION: A controller collects workload data related to workloads applied to a semiconductor storing apparatus(S100). Based on the collected workload data, workloads are predicted(S110). The controller determines target performance levels according to the predicted workloads(S120). The controller applies the determined performance level to the operation of the semiconductor storing apparatus(S130).

PURPOSE: A data storage system is provided to improve the degree of freedom of a controller. CONSTITUTION: A storage media(2000) comprises the nonvolatile memories. A controller(1000) is connected through channel to the storage media. The controller transmits command for the next operation, address and data to the nonvolatile memories in a busy state. The controller performs arbitrary operation during the time gained by transmitting the command, the address, and the data to the nonvolatile memory in a busy state.
