Abstract: PURPOSE: A display apparatus, an upgrade apparatus, a display system and a control method thereof are provided to allow a user to easily recognize functions improved or added by an upgrade as compared with that before the upgrade, by displaying upgrade information through a connection between the upgrade apparatus and the display apparatus. CONSTITUTION: If a display apparatus connects with an upgrading apparatus, a first controller (170) of the display apparatus receives upgrade information about functions to be upgraded from the upgrading apparatus (S102). The first controller compares the upgrade information received in step S102 with the information about the function of the display apparatus stored in the first storage unit (S103). If a user controls a user input unit to select one among upgraded function information items, the first controller controls a display unit to display detailed information about the selected function (S105,S106).
