Abstract: A transferring unit and an image forming apparatus are provided to perform approaching and isolating a transfer roller to a transfer belt by a simple structure. A transfer unit(100) comprises the blood contact assistant, rotator, and the rotator moveable member(110) and driving part(130). The rotator can be contacted with the blood contact assistant. The supporting part pivotally supports the rotator. Contact external force acceptance units(113,123) and space external force acceptance units(115,125) receive the contact external force and the space external force which contacts rotator to the blood contact assistant and isolated.
