Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and a device for providing a service related with contents stored in a portable storage device are provided to manage contents stored in the portable storage device through the same UI(User Interface) even if the connected external device is changed. CONSTITUTION: A service manager(316) provides the UI for managing information related to the contents stored in the data storage unit(312) and the service corresponding to the contents. A service controller(314) outputs the performed UI through the display unit. The service controller provides the performed result of the service corresponding to the selected contents according to the command inputted through the UI to the external device.
