Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for paging configuration performed by a mobile station in a wireless network. The method according to the present invention includes the steps of: transmitting, to a base station, a parameter M representing the number of receiving (RX) beam instances at the mobile station in an idle mode for the mobile station to finish one round of beam steering; determining a timing for receiving a paging message from the base station; and receiving a paging message from the base station based on the determined timing, wherein the timing is a function of the parameter M, and the paging message comprises a mobile station identifier.
