Abstract: An image processing system for a breast image comprises: an image collecting part for collecting a 2D breast ultrasonic image; a tumor detection part for detecting M (M > 0) regions of interest (ROIs), including breast tumors, from the collected 2D breast supersonic image, scoring each ROI and generating a test score; a multi parameter dividing part for dividing each of the M ROIs into K (K > 0) tumor outline candidates by using K tumor division algorithms and recording the test score for each of the tumor outline candidates; a characteristic scoring part for generating a characteristic score by assessing and scoring each of the tumor outline candidates according to at least one preset characteristic; and a converging part for selecting one among the M*K tumor outline candidates and determining a finally divided tumor outline according to the test score and the characteristic score for each of the M*K tumor outline candidates.
