    Abstract: A board for processing images and a method for setting information thereof are provided to reduce a manufacturing cost by processing image signals for various display modules using image software. A board for processing images includes a signal processing unit(230), an interface unit(210), a memory(220), and a controller(240). The signal processing unit processes image signals using a predetermined operation characteristic. The interface unit is used to read out status information from a display module(100). The memory stores set values corresponding to the status information at respective display modules having different characteristics from one another. The controller checks the set values corresponding to the read out status information from the memory and resets the operation characteristic of the signal processing unit using the checked set values.

    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for driving an emission display panel are provided to maintain power consumption constantly by reducing the number of cells illuminated at the same time in a sub-field using dithering. An apparatus for driving an emission display panel includes a sustain pulse controller(620), a sub-field controller(640), a sustain/scan driver(660), and an address electrode driver(650). The sustain pulse controller calculates the APC(Automatic Power Control) level of image data having an input gray scale and outputs sustain pulses corresponding to the calculated APC level. The sub-field controller generates sub-field data for displaying the input gray scale using dithering so as to reduce the number of cells illuminated at the same time in a sub-field. The sustain/scan driver drives the emission display panel by generating sustain/scan pulses from the outputted sustain pulses. The address electrode driver drives the emission display panel by generating address driving signals from the generated sub-field data.
