Abstract: A portable terminal having a camera lens assembly is provided to maintain the standstill state of a lens housing by incising one end of a lens housing and forming a friction flake and a friction protrusion so that the friction protrusion can rub against the inner wall of a recess to accept the lens housing. A portable terminal having a camera lens assembly comprises a recess, a lens housing(103), a friction flake(133), and a friction protrusion(135). The recess to accept the lens housing(103) is formed at the portable terminal. The lens housing(103) is rotatively joined with the recess. The friction flake(133) is formed at the lens housing(103). The friction protrusion(135) is formed at one end of the friction flake(133). As the lens housing(103) rotates, the friction protrusion(135) rubs against the inner wall of the recess. The friction flake(133) accumulates elastic force, getting bent inward the lens housing(103) as the friction protrusion(135) contacts with the inner wall of the recess.

Abstract: A hinge unit in a portable terminal is provided to prevent the breakage of components through magnets in order to buffer an impact generated when housings are folded or completely opened. A hinge unit in a portable terminal comprises a hinge cam(102), a hinge shaft(103), the first magnets(129), and the second magnets(139). On a side of the hinge cam(102), a pair of the first mountain-shaped portions(121) and a pair of the first groove-shaped portions(123) are alternately formed along the circumference of the hinge cam(102). A pair of the second mountain-shaped portions(131) and a pair of the second groove-shaped portions(133) are alternately formed on a side of the hinge shaft(103) along its circumference. The first magnets(129), contained in the hinge cam(102), are exposed at the lowest portions of the first groove-shaped portions(123). The second magnets(139), having the same polarity as the first magnets(129) and contained in the hinge shaft(103), are exposed at the highest portions of the second mountain-shaped portions(131). As the hinge cam(102), supplied elastic force which acts toward the hinge shaft(103), sticks fast to the hinge shaft(103), the hinge shaft(103) rotates in the direction that the second mountain-shaped portions(131) respectively engage with the first groove-shaped portions(123).
