Abstract: A method and an apparatus for generating a multimedia document automatically are provided to receive a text document and designate a related image, background music, and sound effect with respect to the text document automatically, so as to produce a multimedia story book easily. A method for generating a multimedia document automatically includes a step of inputting a text document having at least one word(210), a step of parsing the inputted text document into a plurality of character strings(220), and a step of searching a multimedia database for multimedia information corresponding to the parsed character strings(230). The multimedia database corresponds to a synonym database. The step of searching the multimedia database for the multimedia information includes a step of dividing the text document into predetermined units, a step of determining a representative value of the parsed character strings in each unit, and a step of searching the multimedia database for the multimedia information using the representative value.

Abstract: A method and a device for browsing content files are provided to search and execute the content files simply by visually browsing a great many of content files according to attribute of metadata.
