Abstract: 본 발명은 휴대단말에서 획득하는 위치정보를 이용하여 해당 위치정보에 등록된 서비스 프로바이더(provider)의 사이버공간으로 인터넷 접속하여, 해당 서비스 프로바이더의 다양한 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로, 이러한 본 발명은 휴대단말을 이용한 정보서비스 제공 방법에 있어서, 상기 휴대단말의 위치정보를 획득하는 과정과, 상기 위치정보를 인터넷 주소로 변환하는 과정과, 상기 인터넷 주소의 사이버공간으로 접속하여 해당 프로바이더의 서비스정보를 제공하는 과정을 포함한다.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for providing information service based on location information are provided to access to cyber space of web and WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) using location information obtained by portable terminal. A location information receiver(220) receives current location information of a portable terminal from a given system. A memory(250) stores an application, data from an execution of the application, location information, and link information matched with the location information. A display unit(260) outputs various service information which is provided by a cyber space being connected. Link information is acquired by a controller(270) using the location information, and a connection to cyber space matched with the location information is processed based on the link information.
