Abstract: PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling RF(Radio Frequency) PAM(Power Amplifier Module) gain state in a mobile communication system are provided to consider a RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) and temperature and control RF PAM gain state, thereby effectively manages the power. CONSTITUTION: A modem(210) comprises a temperature control unit which measures temperature. A storage unit(230) stores a temporal data during a program and a program execution. A portable terminal performs a media related program. If the temperature value of the temperature control unit is bigger or same as a threshold value 1 and RSSI is bigger or same as a threshold value 2, a RF PAM gain state management unit(240) lowers a RF PAM gain state value.

Abstract: An adaptive frequency hopping sequence generation method for Bluetooth communication is provided to be capable of communicating with an adaptive frequency hopping sequence which considers even antenna characteristics between a master and a slave as well as influence of peripheral signals, thus Bluetooth communication can be performed by selecting the best RF(Radio Frequency) channel. A master terminal(300) performs an inquiry scan operation for searching a slave terminal(340), and a page scan operation and an authentication operation are conducted to set an ACL(Asynchronous Connection Less) link(303-313). The master terminal(300) transmits packets for demanding error detection information for each channel capable of frequency-hopping to the slave terminal(340)(315). The slave terminal(340) performs an error detection operation, and sends packets including the detected error detection information to the master terminal(300)(317,319). The master terminal(300) checks whether the error detection information is good, and if so, the terminal(300) checks whether power strength of the packets is more than a threshold value which is a minimum power strength value of the packets(321,323). If so, the master terminal(300) includes equivalent hop frequency channels in an adaptive frequency hopping sequence(325). The master terminal(300) generates an adaptive frequency hopping sequence consisting of each channel included in the adaptive frequency hopping sequence(329,331).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A DBTC(Dual Band Tank Circuit) is provided to be used as a switching device in an MCS(Mobile Communication System), in which an operating band is decided by a pin diode. CONSTITUTION: A RIFTC(Receiving/Intermediated Frequency Tank Circuit)(139) generates two intermediated frequency signals depending on a CVS(Control Voltage Signal) from a phase comparator(111) and a BDCVS(Band Deciding Control Voltage Signal) from a high level processor. A pin diode(135) is switched on or off depending on how the BDCVS decides an operating band. When the pin diode is switched on, only two coils, that is, a first coil(127) and a second coil(131) affect an inductance, which one of components concerned with decision of the intermediated frequency. All of the three coils which are the first and second coils and the third coil(129) affect the inductance when the pin diode is switched off. A capacitance, another one of components concerned with decision of the intermediated frequency, is affected by Vc1 of the first barretter(119) and Vc2 of the second barretter(121), and three capacitors which are the first capacitor(123), the second capacitor(125) and the third capacitor(133).
