A method for directing exercise pace in conjunction with music of an exercise assistant apparatus comprises the steps of: planning a reference exercise pace for a user based on the information of the user(S205); setting music information to be played based on the planned reference exercise pace(S210); saving the reference exercise pace and the music information base on the reference exercise pace; outputting the exercise pace direction information and music based on the stored reference exercise pace and corresponding music information(S235); visually displaying an actual exercise pace inputted during exercise and the reference exercise pace; and resetting the reference exercise pace and corresponding music information based on the actual exercise pace and physical changes of the user caused by exercise(S260).

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for turbo decoding are provided to reduce an extrinsic information storage memory without performance degradation of a different operation by reducing bit number required in storing extrinsic information. A decoding apparatus(500) includes two decoders(510,520), interleavers, transformers(512,522), memories(513,523), and detransformers(514,524). The decoder receives and decodes priori coding information outputted from a decoder and a received signal, and outputs a log likelihood ratio. The transformer converts a log likelihood ratio value outputted from the decoder into a fixed bit. The transformer processes extrinsic information which is a signal transmitted between an input end and an output end of the decoder. The memory stores the log likelihood ratio value of the fixed bit outputted from the transformer. The detransformer decodes a log likelihood ratio signal of the fixed bit stored in the memory into a signal having an original bit width, and outputs the decoded signal to the decoder.
