Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for converting an active program for a PDA is provided to supply an automatic change of an execution window by using a knock sensing by applying an acceleration sensor to a PDA instead of a use of an inefficient user interface being generated by a small display size of the PDA, thereby solving an unnecessary use of a stylus pen. CONSTITUTION: A high pass filter removes an acceleration of gravity. An acceleration of gravity is generated in an acceleration sensor being mounted in a PDA according to poses changes of a PDA. Thus, a filter is used for detecting a fixed signal regardless of pose of the PDA(horizontal or vertical). A boundary filter removes a small signal being generated caused by a general small movement and is classified with a strike signal by removing a minute signal being generated in not in a strike signal or a light wobble.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for performing a pedometer function in a mobile terminal are provided to count the number of steps of a user while the user is walking. CONSTITUTION: A user sets a pedometer mode in a mobile terminal to measure the number of steps of the user(201). When a controller detects a signal according to movement of the user(202), a detector calculates a velocity value(Vn) and a position value(Xn) of a moving part(203,204). If the position value(Xn) is positioned in the second boundary, namely, a maximum value(Xmax)(205), the controller gives the maximum value(Xmax) to the position value(Xn) and '0' to the velocity value(Vn)(206). If time(tn) during which the moving part is positioned in the second boundary is greater than the sum of time(tn-1) during which the moving part was previously positioned in the second boundary and a time interval during which the moving part has been moved from the first boundary to the second boundary(207), the controller increases a count value(207). Whenever the count value is increased, the controller displays the sum of the number of steps of the user(209).

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for controlling a bell sound of a mobile terminal are provided to allow a user to quickly convert a bell sound to a vibration or mute mode and reduce the number of times of key manipulation. CONSTITUTION: A sensor(101) detects an operation signal of a user. A signal combiner(102) changes X axis and Y axis signals with a different direction to signals with the same pattern to obtain a quantity of change of the signal. Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for generating traffic is provided to supply a traffic generator so as to generate a substantial traffic satisfying given traffic load and a given type mixture. CONSTITUTION: A traffic generator produces the number of maximum channels which each class is capable of receiving and the number of substantially-used channels. The generator produces the number of channels, allocated according to services in the number of the maximum channels. The generator produces the number of connection requests according to services of each class. The generator reserves class pools in a random generation according to a pooling sequence, by adjusting the class pools to calculating values relating to the number of the channels, and displays the reserved class pools according to each port, then distinguishes the classes from the services to perform a pooling. The generator initializes a queue to decide the number of times. If an event becomes an active state until the number of times becomes '0', the generator retrieves whether a port and a channel satisfying a limit condition are searched. If not, the generator retrieves whether a service is a multicasting. If so, the generator retrieves whether the number of maximally receivable ports exists. If so, the generator performs a multicasting as much as the maximally receivable ports, and makes a state as an active state, then decides duration. The generator decides whether an update port is used, and reduces the number of times after writing a file, then carries out a sorting.
