Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method and a device for adaptive-digital filtering in a touch sensing system are provided to minimize the touch response delay and calculation amount by a filter by dynamically controlling the noise removing level. CONSTITUTION: A touch data collecting unit(1110) collects touch data through a sense channel of a touch panel. A SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) estimating unit(1150) determines the number of digital filter taps by estimating the SNR through the touch data. A digital filtering unit(1130) digital-filters the touch data. A noise nullingunit(1140) determines the noise reference level based on the SNR. The noise nulling unit performs the noise nulling if the touch data is smaller than the noise level reference value.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A touch sensing device and a control method thereof are provided to improve a touch sensing performance, reduce a touch sensing error due to a circumstance variation, and improve an offset compensation performance. CONSTITUTION: A touch panel unit (110) includes sensing nodes and senses mutual capacitance values of the sensing nodes. A signal process unit (121) generates touch data according to the mutual capacitance values. A control unit (122) corrects the touch data based on node deviations among the sensing nodes and determines one of the corrected data as a reference value for judging a touch state of the sensing nodes. A storage unit (123) stores the node deviations and the reference value. The control unit calculates a difference between the reference value and the corrected data by subtraction, and calculates touch coordinates of the touch panel unit by comparing the difference with a comparison value.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A multiple touch classification method of a touch sensor system is provided to improve the touch classification of the near multiple touch and the accuracy of the touch coordinate calculation, by providing a label of a label group in which the group similarity of the unlabeled node is the biggest. CONSTITUTION: An arbitrary valid node among the valid nodes, which have the touch data higher than the threshold, is selected. A candidate label which is able to be provided to a point node is searched by searching the surrounding nodes of the point node (S130). If the number of the candidate labels is more than two, the label of the label group with the higher similarity with the point node is selected and provided to the point node (S140). The label of the surrounding labels, in which the touch data is greater than the point node, is decided as the candidate label of the point node. PURPOSE: A coordinate correction method in a touch system and apparatus thereof are provided to create exact touch coordinates by calculating touch coordinates through the data of a touch panel. CONSTITUTION: An LUT(Look UP Table) storage unit(820) stores an LUT in order to correct the touch coordinate of a touch panel. When a touch signal is generated in the touch panel, a touch data acquisition unit(810) acquires touch data. A processor(830) calculates the size of a touched conductive member and calculates touch coordinate value from the touch data. A touch coordinate correcting unit(840) corrects the touch coordinate value through the LUT using an input parameter from the touch coordinate value and the size of the conductive member.
