Abstract: A method for limiting an increase of an FA(Frequency Area) in software manner in a mobile communication system and a device therefor are provided to enable a BTS(Base Transceiver System) supplier to supply BTSs, having the same specification, according to providers' requirements, thus a development cost, which can incurred in case specifications are different according to each provider, can be reduced. The preset maximum number of FAs is stored in a license file. The number of FAs to be increased is received to increase cells(510-530). The number of the maximum FAs stored in the license file is accessed and compared with a value which adds the number of the FAs to be increased to the number of existing FAs(540). If th value does not exceed the number of the maximum FAs, cell increasing is performed, and if the value exceeds the number, the performance of the cell increasing is interrupted(550,560).

Abstract: 본 발명은 이동통신시스템에서 시스템 형상 및 파라미터 변경 방법으로서, 상기 이동통신 시스템의 형상 및 운용데이터를 포함하는 프로그램 로딩 데이터(PLD)의 소프트릴레이션 변경을 통보하기 위해 릴레이션 변경 정보 필드를 포함하는 프로세스간 통신메시지(IPC)를 생성하는 과정과, 상기 IPC메시지를 서브시스템의 형상관리 기능블럭에게 전송하는 과정과, 상기 IPC메시지를 수신한 상기 형상관리 기능블럭은 상기 IPC메시지의 상기 릴레이션 변경 정보 필드를 로딩하여 상기 릴레이션 변경 정보 필드에 따라 상기 IPC메시지를 처리 하는 과정을 통하여 URM내의 릴레이션의 개수 증가에 따른 RNC, BTS의 기능 블럭(Rchx, Bchx)의 소스코드 수정이 없게 되어 애플리케이션 운용의 효율성이 커진다.
