Abstract: An LCD is provided to prevent the deformation of a reflective plate and reduce the loss of light at the reflective plate, by integrating the reflective plate into a light source cover in one body. A light guiding plate(310) is disposed on the rear surface of an LCD panel(100). A light source part(320) is provided along at least one side surface of the light guiding plate, and supplies a light to the light guiding plate. A reflective plate(350) is composed of a base plate(351) of a metal material and a film layer(353) formed on the base plate. The reflective plate has a first reflective surface(3531) facing a reflective surface of the light guiding plate, and a second reflective surface(3532) bent from the first reflective surface. The light source part is disposed between the light guiding plate and the second surface of the reflective plate.

Abstract: A backlight assembly is provided to prevent heat generated in a fluorescent lamp from being transmitted to an LCD panel through a mold frame, thereby preventing a defect caused by the deterioration of the LCD panel by a heat load. A backlight assembly comprises a lamp(165), a mold frame(130), and a lamp holder(161). The lamp emits light. The lamp holder comprises a body portion(168), an insulating board, and an insulating side wall portion(163). The lamp is inserted into the body portion. The insulating board is positioned in the upper part of the body portion. The upper surface of the insulating board forms a plane. The plane contacts the mold frame. The insulating side wall portion contacts the insulating board vertically. The insulating side wall portion is inserted to the opening portion to form the edge of the mold frame.
