Abstract: A diffusion plate, a backlight unit, a liquid crystal display device, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance color reproducibility by removing the light with an unnecessary wavelength band. Abstract: An optical plate and a backlight assembly including the same are provided to enhance the brightness of a liquid crystal display device by using the optical plate made of copolymer having reduced birefringence. A backlight assembly(100) includes a lamp(110), an optical sheet(120), a reflective sheet(130), a bottom chassis(140), a mold frame(150), and an optical plate(200). The lamp supplies light to a liquid panel of the liquid crystal display device. The lamp is arranged to face one side or both sides of the optical plate. The optical sheet is arranged on a top of the optical plate formed on a side of the lamp. The reflective sheet is arranged under the optical plate and has a reflective surface to reflect the light emitted to a bottom of the optical plate upward. The bottom chassis receives the lamp, the optical sheet, and the reflective sheet. The mold frame protects the optical sheet, the reflective sheet, and the optical plate. The optical plate guides the light emitted from the lamp.

Abstract: An apparatus for forming a pattern of a light guide panel, and a method for fabricating a light guide panel are provided to accomplish high condensing characteristics of a prism pattern, ultra-thinness through pressing, and mass-production at a low cost. An air-tight container(120) is filled with a pressing fluid(110), namely, distilled water or oil, and accommodates a plurality of vacuum packs in which a light guide panel and its shaping frames are hermetically sealed. A pressing unit(pump)(130) presses the fluid(110) to press the vacuum packs. A heating unit(140) heats the fluid(110) to provide a shaping temperature to the vacuum packs. The shaping frame is formed with a thickness of 0.1mm to 10mm. The shaping frame has a shaping pattern with a section of a prism shape, and is disposed at one side of the light guide panel.
