Abstract: PURPOSE: A data storage device and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent system down by reducing rapid power consumption in a power on or hot plug operation. CONSTITUTION: A data storage device using a semiconductor memory as a main storage unit is power-on or hot-plugged(S1000). Power is supplied to the data storage device when the charging of an auxiliary power supply of the data storage device is delayed(S1100). After an inrush current is generated, the auxiliary power supply is charged(S1300).

Abstract translation: 目的：提供一种数据存储装置及其驱动方法，以通过减少上电或热插拔操作中的快速功耗来防止系统关闭。 构成：使用半导体存储器作为主存储单元的数据存储装置是上电或热插拔（S1000）。 当数据存储装置的辅助电源的充电被延迟时，电力被提供给数据存储装置（S1100）。 在产生浪涌电流之后，辅助电源被充电（S1300）。
