Abstract: A text message display method of a portable terminal is provided to enable a user to transmit text messages and to confirm whether a received text message is a reply for a certain text message easily even though the text message is received after certain time elapses, thereby improving the user's convenience. In idle mode, a controller confirms a text message transmission request(S201,S203). The controller recognizes that a user is writing a text message(S205), and transmits the written text message as storing the transmitted text message(S207). The controller continuously confirms whether a text message is received(S209). If so, the controller displays the received text message(S211), and confirms whether a transmission text message display request is received(S213). If so, the controller displays the stored transmission text message on the received text message(S215). The controller deletes the stored transmission text message(S217).

Abstract: A method for receiving a call of a mobile terminal during absence using short-range wireless communication is provided to inform a different mobile terminal located within a short distance about a reception state of a mobile terminal during absence.
