Abstract: PURPOSE: A system and a method for searching sound source using map information are provided to use received tag information and sound source information and display at least one sound source tag located in a specific area on a screen, thereby enabling a user to appreciate a new sound source more intuitively. Abstract: A method for inputting a character by using motion recognition in a portable terminal is provided to measure the rotating angle of the portable terminal, to divide the direction of the portable terminal into 4 directions, and to convert a mode of the portable terminal into a character input mode preset according to each direction, thereby providing convenience to a user when the user converts the character input mode.
