Abstract: The present invention relates to a motion detecting method. A motion detecting method of the present invention comprises the following steps of: calculating each of local motion vectors of multiple image blocks of a received image; grouping the multiple image blocks into multiple image block groups; calculating each of group motion parameters of the multiple image block groups based on the local motion vectors of the image blocks of each of the multiple image block groups; and distinguishing a global motion parameter of the received image according to the group motion parameters.
