Abstract: PURPOSE: A mobile terminal having a projector and a controlling method of a display unit thereof are provided to control the application which is operating by activating only a touch sensor. CONSTITUTION: A projector(110) outputs a screen on which the presentation application operates. A touch screen(130) is composed of a display unit(135) displaying the screen and a touch sensor(137) sensing the touch. A switch(140) secludes the power provided to the display unit. If the screen on which the presentation application operates is outputted through the projector, a controller(120) controls the switch and secludes the power provided to the display unit. If the touch is detected through the touch sensor, the controller performs the function according to the detected touch.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for saving power in a portable terminal using an Ethernet are provided to reduce power consumption in an unplugged Ethernet State and the heating resulting from power consumption. CONSTITUTION: It is inspected whether or not an Ethernet cable is connected to an Ethernet modem(210). Unless the Ethernet cable is connected to the Ethernet modem, power is supplied to the Ethernet modem intermittently(220). If the Ethernet cable is connected to the Ethernet modem, the power is continuously supplied to the Ethernet modem(230). When the power is supplied to the Ethernet modem intermittently, the power is supplied to the Ethernet modem for a first time.
