    Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for packet switch in a data network is provided to factionize information resources necessary for a packet switch by each group, to make transceiving controllers access the information resources in parallel by a scheduling, so as to reduce a control overhead to perform the packet switch at a high speed. CONSTITUTION: Ports(512,532) manage a packet transceiving command and an input/output of a data packet. Transceiving controllers(516) corresponds to the packet transceiving command to access factionized information resources by each group, and store a corresponding data packet in a packet memory or transmit the data packet stored in the packet memory to a corresponding port. Information resources(514,534) divide information necessary for a packet switch by each group to respectively store the divided information, and supply the stored information to the transceiving controller(516). Information resource schedulers(520,530,540) are connected with each information resource, and schedule accesses of the transceiving controllers(516).
