Abstract: 표시 패널 상에 이방성 도전 필름(ACF)을 접착매체로 하여 접착된 구동 칩을 제거하기 위한 칩 제거 장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 제1 고정부는 구동 칩이 접착된 표시 패널을 수용하고 상기 표시 패널을 고정한다. 제2 고정부는 동 칩을 수용하고 구동 칩을 고정한다. 히터는 구동 칩을 일정한 온도로 가열하고, 가압부는 제1 고정부와 일정한 온도로 가열된 구동 칩을 고정하는 제2 고정부간에 전단력을 제공한다. 이에 따라서 일정한 온도와 압력으로 상기 표시 패널 상에 접착된 구동 칩을 용이하게 제거할 수 있다.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for removing an ACF(Anisotropic Conductive Film) are provided to prevent the breakage of a liquid crystal layer and the damage of metal wires due to manual work, by using a removing unit and a panel stage to remove the ACF on an LCD panel. A panel stage(120) is movable in at least one direction, and loads a panel having an ACF to be removed. A removing unit(170) is formed of a high strength material, and has a sharp edge. The removing unit removes the ACF along the movement of the panel stage. A table is configured to mount the panel stage. A cylinder unit(110) is formed on one end of the table, and moves the panel stage. Support bars(130,140) are vertically formed on the table, and adjust the height of the removing unit.
