Abstract: PURPOSE: An image forming device, a host device, and a file editing method are provided to add an additional scanned image to a generated image file, thereby generating a new image file. CONSTITUTION: A raw data generation unit(405) generates first raw data by detecting image data included in a generated image file. A scan unit(406) generates second raw data by scanning an image which is added to the image data. A control unit(407) accumulates the second raw data and the first raw data and merges the same. An image file generation unit(404) generates a new image file by converting the first and second raw data into an image file. The image file is received from a host device connected to the image forming device or is stored in the image forming device. A UI(User Interface) unit(402) displays a UI window for a file list which includes the image file.
