그 도어핸들장치(40)는 각각 도어(30)의 상단과 하단에 배치되는 한 쌍의 작동레버(41)(42), 그 양단이 상기 작동레버(41)(42)들을 연결하여 종방향으로 결합된 도어핸들(45), 도어(30)의 상단과 하단에 고정되어 작동레버(41)(42)들을 회동가능하게 지지하는 지지수단(43)을 구비한다. 작동레버(41)(42)의 양단부는 작동레버(41)(42)의 중심을 종방향으로 가로지르는 선(YY)에 대하여 서로 반대측에 위치하여 지지수단(43)을 중심으로 하여 회전모멘트가 작용하게 된다. 또한, 각 작동레버(41)(42)는 두 개의 레버(41a)(41b)로 구성되고, 이들을 연결하는 연결수단(46)은 도어핸들(45)을 도어(30)의 전면에 근접되도록 접히게 하거나 펼치게 할 수 있게 한다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A door handle apparatus for refrigerator is provided to allow the refrigerator door to be smoothly and easily opened by eliminating air pressure difference between the storage chamber and the outdoor air upon opening of the door. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(40) comprises an upper operation lever(41) and a lower operation lever coupled to be rotatable to upper and lower ends of a door(30), respectively, through a coupling unit(43); and a handle bar(45) having an end coupled to an end of the upper operation lever and the other end couple to an end of the lower operation lever, so as to rotate upper and lower operation levers. The operation lever has an end contacting a front surface of a cabinet and the other end protruded toward the front surface of the door, when the door is closed. The operation lever is provided with a roller(44) arranged at an end of the operation lever so as to push the cabinet when the door is open.
