Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for compulsorily stopping a long-time conversation call of a switch system is provided to prevent an error occurrence by an overload of a resource of the switch system and control a non-billing conversation call by automatically and manually performing a compulsory stop of the long-time conversation call. CONSTITUTION: If a long-time conversation call exists as a result of the search of an ASP(Access Switching Processor), the ASP transmits information regarding the searched long-time conversation call to an NTP(Number Translation Processor)(325). The NTP receives long-time conversation call information and checks whether the received long-time conversation call is a telephone number registered as a long-time conversation compulsory stop(327). If the received long-time conversation call is not the telephone number registered as the long-time conversation compulsory stop, the NTP transmits searched long-time conversation call information to an MMP(Man Machine Processor)(329). The MMP receives searched long-time conversation call information from the NTP and displays received long-time conversation call information to output information to an operator(331). If the received long-time conversation call is the telephone number registered as the long-time conversation compulsory stop, the NTP transmits a compulsory stop instruction for requesting a compulsory stop to the long-time conversation call to the ASP(333). The ASP receives the compulsory stop instruction from the NTP, compulsorily stops the long-time conversation call(335), and transmits the compulsory conversation stop result to the NTP(337). The NTP receives the compulsory conversation stop result and transmits general long-time conversation call information to the MMP(339). The MMP displays the compulsorily stopped long-time conversation call received from the NTP and general long-time conversation call information to output information to the operator(341).
