Abstract: 본 발명은 무궁화 위성 시스템(이하 DBS라 칭함)과 무선 호출기를 이용하여 양방향적으로 상대방의 위치를 알리는 방법에 관한 것이며, 특히 호출 서비스를 호출된 지역 기지국으로 송출함과 동시에 그 호출기의 해당 지역 기지국 위치 정보를 수신하여 송신 지구국으로 송출하는 과정, 상기 송신기지국에서 호출가입자의 식별 번호와 그에 해당하는 위치 정보를 생성하여 상기 DBS에 소정 포맷에 따라 송출하는 과정, 상기 DBS로부터 수신된 식별 번호를 확인하여 가입자의 식별 번호이면 그에 해당하는 위치 정보를 소정의 정보 형태로 변환하는 과정, 상기 과정에서 변환된 위치 정보를 온스크린 디스플레이하는 과정을 포함하며, 본 발명에 의하면, 호출기와 DBS를 이용하여 사람이나 차량의 위치를 검출하여 시청중인 TV에 표시할 수있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A locating notifying method using DBS(Direct Broadcasting Satellite) system and pager is provided to inform an opponent's location bi-directionally. CONSTITUTION: At the same time when a call service is transferred to a called local base station, the local base station location information is received and sent out to the transmitting base station where the call service was requested. The transmitting base station transmits to a DBS using a fixed format to generate an identification number of a subscriber of the call and a location information. If the subscriber's identification number is the identification number from the DBS, the location information is transferred into a fixed format, and the transferred information is displayed though a display unit. The location information is established within the MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) transport packet user defined boundary. The location information is displayed through a specific part of a television's monitor while watching the television.

Abstract translation: 目的：提供使用DBS（直播广播卫星）系统和寻呼机的定位通知方法，双向通知对方的位置。 构成：在呼叫服务被传送到被叫本地基站的同时，本地基站位置信息被接收并发送到请求呼叫服务的发送基站。 发送基站使用固定格式向DBS发送生成呼叫的用户的识别号码和位置信息。 如果用户的识别号码是来自DBS的识别号码，则将位置信息传送成固定格式，并通过显示单元显示传送的信息。 在MPEG（运动图像专家组）传输分组用户定义的边界内建立位置信息。 当观看电视时，位置信息通过电视监视器的特定部分显示。
