Abstract: An apparatus and a method for controlling devices in a home network are provided to easily control devices of many home networks through a relay device and to easily access devices of a home network through the relay device even though it is difficult to access the home network. A control point(120) comprises an authentication part(121), a control message creation part(122), a control message transmitting part(123), a response message receiving part(124), and an information management part(125). The authentication part(121) executes authentication with a relay device connected to many devices through a network. The control message creation part(122) creates a control message based on input. The control message transmitting part(123) transmits the created control message to a device selected by the user among the devices.
