    Abstract: PURPOSE: A communications method using a duplicated ACK which avoids time-out is provided to prevent unnecessary reduction of a transmission rate due to time-out which is able to be generated in a handover process of a terminal. CONSTITUTION: Hand over for a terminal(160) connected to a serving base station(140) is determined. The serving base station transmits a duplicated ACK having the same identifier as an ACK, which is finally transmitted from the terminal to a fixed host(110), to two or more fixed hosts. A duplicated ACK transmission process includes a reply transmission time estimating step which estimates reply transmission time which takes to receive the ACK about a packet through the fixed host. The duplicated ACK transmission process includes a determination step of determining whether the duplicated ACK is transmitted or not by using preset re-transmission timeout and the estimated reply transmission time. The duplicated ACK transmission process includes a step of transmitting the duplication ACK to two or more the fixed hosts.
