Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for mounting an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) of a portable communication terminal on a PCB(Printed Circuit Board) is provided to reduce thickness of a portable communication terminal, minimize mounted thickness when an LCD of the portable communication terminal is mounted on a PCB, and increasing portability by minimizing the thickness of the portable communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A flexible cable(20) is bent and interposed between a rear surface of an LCD(10) and a front surface of a PCB(30) to interconnect the LCD(10) and the PCB(30). An LCD driver(40) drives the LCD(10), is bent, and faces a front surface of the PCB(30) within the flexible cable(20). The LCD driver(40) is positioned on a central part of the flexible cable(20). The PCB(30) has a hole on a portion thereof where the LCD driver(40) is attached. The hole is used to minimize mounted thickness when the LCD(10) is mounted on the PCB(30). An LSI having a big size may be mounted on an opposite surface of the PCB hole, so as to close the hole. Therefore, the PCB space is not affected in use.

Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for correcting backlight photographing in a mobile terminal is provided to more exactly correcting backlight through a mobile terminal by configuring a camera lens and an ultraviolet sensor into a single module at an identical location. CONSTITUTION: If a user selects a photographing mode(301), a control part controls an image processing part to activate a path capable of a photographed image signal. Also the control part controls a signal processing part to receive an image signal that indicates a photographed object. At this moment, the control part measures an ultraviolet value through an ultraviolet sensor and compares the measured data value with a reference value stored in a memory(302). If the measured data value is larger than the reference value, the control part judges that backlight photographing is in progress(303). If the user inputs a photographing key(304), the control part lights a flash and photographs an object(305).

PURPOSE: A method for implementing services according to ultraviolet indexes is provided to offer various information and services and to previously prevent exposure to ultraviolet rays by detecting ultraviolet indexes through a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: If a mobile terminal user pushes a menu key, a control part control a display part and displays a menu(301). If the user selects 'Ultraviolet Management', the control part displays the types of ultraviolet managements(302). If the user selects an ultraviolet alarm function, the control part enters an ultraviolet alarm function mode(303). If the user selects 'Alarm Function Mode Setup', the control part displays the types of ultraviolet alarm functions(304). If the user selects 'Ultraviolet Alarm Interval', the control part displays the types of alarm intervals. If the user selects a desired ultraviolet alarm interval, the control part sets selected time as an alarm interval.

PURPOSE: A method for searching and dialing telephone numbers in a portable phone is provided to search and dial a telephone number by confirming a face image displayed on a display unit in voice or abbreviated dialing. CONSTITUTION: A control unit checks whether a menu key is inputted through a key input unit(501). The control unit displays menus to select various functions on a display unit(502). The control unit checks whether an image telephone number search key is inputted from the key input unit(503). If the image telephone number search key is inputted from the key input unit, the control unit displays the picture image, telephone number, name and address of the latest registered person on the display unit(504). The control unit checks whether a scroll key is inputted from the key input unit(505). If the scroll key is inputted, the control unit displays the picture image, telephone number, name and address of the next registered person on the display unit(506).
