Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for tagging contents in a portable terminal are provided to automatically perform a tagging operation of a determined POI(Point Of Interest) for user generation contents. CONSTITUTION: When contents is generated, a portable terminal obtains a current position coordinate. The portable terminal determines the searching a POI search region(203), and searches the POI within the determined POI search region among the POIs stored in a storage unit(205). If at least one POI is searched, the portable terminal selects at least one POI according to the priority and distance(207,209). The portable terminal performs mapping operation for the selected POI and the generated contents(211).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for updating a version of IPC server in a switching system is provided to prevent human efforts to be wasted by allowing an operator to input MMC(Main Machine Command) instruction and update automatically the version of IPC server.
