Abstract: PURPOSE: A multimedia device using a portable computer is provided to attach and detach the portable computer from a stand. CONSTITUTION: The multimedia device comprises a portable computer(100) equipping an installation hole(101) at a right upper side, a cellular phone installation part(104a) and a hinge(104b) at a left side, and a stand(150) having a second installation part(152), an electronic pen(110) storing in the installation hole, a PCMCIA(Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) card(120) keeping in a PCMCIA card installation part(102) and having a hole(121) at the upper side, a digital camera(130) installing to the hole of PCMCIA card, a stand(150) equipping a second installation part(152) and a light receiver(151a) to receive the infrared transmitted from the outside, and a keyboard(160) equipping an infrared transmitter(161) converting the command by the key selection of user into the IR and transmitting the converted infrared command to the receiver.
