    Abstract: A liquid crystal display and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to simplify the inverter manufacturing process, and reduce the manufacturing cost while securing the reliability of the inverter. An inverter unit(920) comprises a third PCB(921), and a plurality of pads(926). A transformer(924) and other elements are mounted on the third PCB. A plurality of pad parts connected through socket to the light source is formed after one side of the inverter unit. The thin metal foil(927) made of the tin or the like on the pad part is adhered through the solder. The inverter unit provides the driving power for the light source through the pad part in which the thin metal foil is adhered. The thin metal foil is adhered to the pad part through the process of setting up various circuit devices on the third printed circuit board.
