Abstract: A method and a system for sending an email are provided to prevent leakage of classified information by restricting transmission in case that a classified file is attached to the email and permitting the transmission of the email after receiving permission from a manager in the case that the email size is bigger than a predetermined size. An email server(100) classifies the email into the email requiring the permission in the case that the email is bigger than the predetermined size and classifies the email into a general email in the case that the email is smaller than the predetermined size. A manager server(300) temporarily stores the email requiring the permission, transmits the email requiring the permission to a receiver if the permission is inputted from the manager, and transmits the email to the receiver if the general email is received. If the manager inputs disapproval, the manager server returns the email to a sender by attaching a transmission failure message. If the classified file is attached to the email, the manager server returns the email to the sender by attaching the transmission failure message.
