Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for supplying services according to operators in an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) exchange system is provided to supply optimum operating environments and the usable services according to users, by limiting the services supplied according to identification(ID) codes of the operators, when the operators logs in to an interface sever, in an operator interfacing system of the ATM exchange system. CONSTITUTION: An operator interfacing system designates environment setup files discriminated according to operators, and comprises a memory table to assign the operator IDs corresponding to the operators to corresponding grades respectively. A method for supplying an operator interfacing system operated in a client/server environment, comprises the steps of: monitoring an inputted operator identification(ID) code through a predetermined operator client; deciding whether the ID is registered in the memory table when the operator ID is inputted; if so, determining an operator grade corresponding to the ID from the memory table; determining an environment setup file according to the determined grade; outputting a service determined in an operating environment according to the designated environment setup file, to a corresponding operator client.
