Abstract: A method for remote-controlling a target apparatus by using mobile communication terminal and a remote control system thereof are provided to move a pointer 3 dimensionally according to pointer operation information. The motion of a mobile communication terminal(10) is sensed, and the current location information, the acceleration information and the angular velocity information of the mobile communication terminal depending ton the motion are measured. By using the distance from a remote control target apparatus(40) and the measured information, the mobile communication terminal generates pointer operation information as to the pointer of the remote control target apparatus. According to the received pointer operation information, the remote control target apparatus moves the pointer which is indicated 3 dimensionally. The mobile communication terminal includes an RF unit, a transceiving unit(12), a key input unit(14), a first display unit(16), a first memory(18), an operational information generating unit(20) and a first controller(30).
