Abstract: PURPOSE: An information providing method, a device, and a computer readable recording medium are provided to offer the location information of the device by using surrounding sound. CONSTITUTION: A processor(133) receives location information demand data including sound information from one or more devices. The processor detects reference sound information similar with the sound information from the data including the received reference sound information. The processor detects the location information of an external device which transmits the detected reference sound information from a storage unit. The processor transmits location information to the device through the communication unit based on the detected location information of the external device.
