Abstract: A method and a system for authentication of a mobile phone for home electric appliance control in a home network are provided to facilitate an access to the home network by simplifying authentication processes of the home network. A method for authentication of a mobile phone(100) for home electric appliance control in a home network includes a first step of authenticating in a home server(103) with sign information generated from the mobile phone(100) after registering a home electric appliance connected to the home server(103) of the home network, and the mobile phone(100) as members of a group, and a second step of controlling the home electric appliance connected to the home server(103) by a control signal of the home electric appliance generated from the mobile phone(100) after the authentication of the home server(103) by the sign information of the mobile phone(100).

Abstract: An apparatus for controlling an elevator in a portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to enhance efficiency of use of the elevator by coping with requirement of a specific user such as the handicapped without extension of opening and closing time of a door to all users. An apparatus for controlling an elevator in a portable terminal includes a control unit(200) and a local wireless communication unit(202). The control unit controls behaviors of the elevator by connecting the portable terminal and the elevator and communicating a signal for controlling the elevator with the elevator in case of generation of an elevator control event. The local wireless communication unit communicates the signal for controlling the elevator by using the local wireless communication according to control of the control unit. The local wireless communication is one of Bluetooth, Zigbee, and Ultra Wideband.
