Abstract: A disc protection apparatus and an HDD(Hard Disc Drive) with the same are provided to reduce the loss possibility of a data area of a disc by forming a bumper in a disc opposite surface of the HDD, contacting the bumper to an external side area of the disc although the disc is bent by mechanical impact provided to the HDD, and preventing the data area of the disc from being contacted to the opposite surface. A bumper(200) is formed in an opposite surface(210) which is faced with a surface of a disc(12). The bumper(200) is formed in a position corresponding to an external side area of a data area of the disc(12). When mechanical impact is provided to an HDD(10), the bumper(200) is contacted with the external side area of the disc(12) so that the contact between the data area of the disc(12) and the opposite surface(210) is prevented.

Abstract: An actuator block and an actuator assembly of an HDD(Hard Disc Drive) with the same are provided to have a structure capable of reducing NRRO(Non-Repeatable Run-Out errors). An actuator block has at least two actuators(52) and at least one slot(56). The slot(56) is formed between the actuator arms which are adjacent among at least two actuator arms(52).
