Abstract: The present invention relates to a user interface device in a user terminal using a capacitive touch input method and a method thereof. The method includes monitoring an input signal generated by a touch on a touch panel, calculating an area of the touch based on the input signal when the input signal by the touch is detected, and differentially processing a selected command by considering the calculated area.
