Abstract: A portable computer equipped with a detachable display is provided to easily separate and combine a display unit with a main frame, implement a tilting function in the display unit separated from the main frame, and use the separated display unit as a monitor. The display unit forms an image. A combiner(40) is pivotally combined with the display unit. An engaged part(50) is formed to at least one of the main frame(10) and the display unit. An engaging part(41) is attached/detached from the engaged part, and is formed to at least one of the main frame and the display unit. The engaged part includes a locking member(61) combined or released from the engaging part received in the engaged part. The locking member includes a lever(63) exposed to the outside to combine or release a slider(64) from a guide rail(44).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A computer system is provided to check a safe receipt of a drive device being detachably mounted in a computer and recognize an appendix of a drive device automatically. CONSTITUTION: In the case that a CD-ROM drive(19) is not mounted, an operation unit(52) is pressed toward an engaging position(A) by an elastic force of a spring(56) inserted therein, and a pressure shaft(54) is separated from a switching unit(62) at a predetermined distance. If the CD-ROM drive(19) is pressed to a drive receiving unit for mounting the CD-ROM drive(19), a latch member(60) provided in the CD-ROM drive(19) presses the operation unit(52), and moves the operation unit(52) toward an engaging release position(B). The pressure shaft(54) integrally formed with the operation unit(52) is moved in accordance with a movement of the operation unit(52), and presses the switching unit(62). A signal from the switching unit(62) is transmitted to a computer system, and a control unit of the computer system senses a mount of a drive device.
