Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for recording the outside of a vehicle according to the speed of a vehicle and a black box for a vehicle are provided to record the outside of a vehicle by the change of frame rate, exposure time, and sensitivity according to the speed of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A black box for a vehicle comprises a speed information determining unit(11), an image receiving unit(12), an image compressing unit(13), a storage(14), and a controller(15). The speed information determining unit presently decides the velocity information of the vehicles. The image receiving unit takes a digital photograph with the frame rate changed according to the velocity information of the vehicle. The image compressing unit compresses the digital image. The storage stores the compacted image. The controller changes the frame rate using the velocity information of the vehicle.
